When young people start living on their own, they need to learn how to manage their finances. Tight budgets and unexpected fixed costs can give them a hard time keeping track of their financial status. Finances at a Glance puts this status into your daily life and offers more awareness at a glance. By using data of banking apps the finances are sorted and shown on the device. It shows the days of the month and the budget you have left on a monthly basis, starting from your main income. It also alerts you on upcoming fixed costs to give a more realistic overview of your budget. As it is an abstract visualization it can be understood by the owner, but will provide privacy when seen by others.

During my FBP I made sure that the steps I took were in line with my vision, which actually helped me in deepening my vision. That is when I developed a clear interest in the field of tangible data visualization which I wanted to pursue with in the ID Master.
